Work Out to Work Better

Ask yourself this question. Do you do it to stay fit or just fit into your pants?  Are you maintaining or achieving? Do you do it to perform better or just like the challenge of taking a new class or getting to the next level? Think about what you just read.  There's a correlation between how you work out and how you work and perform at your job.  If you are just biding time, getting in your 30 minutes in on the treadmill, so that you can say you 'hit the gym' then you might be doing the very same thing at the office or on the job. You clocked your hours, have a few power days, but overall you are coasting along. Did you ever consider how if you push yourself harder at the gym you might approach your work differently? 3 Ways to Work Smarter

I said it before and I will keep saying it.  2017 is all about the hustle.  That means working smarter is absolutely imperative.  This video I created just for you my lovely readers is all about 3 ways to work smarter and be more productive and it applies to all areas of life. Plus, foliage is gorgeous and often helps a property look its best. As we stood in the drive way of one beautiful home I asked H to snap … [Read more...]

Giving In But Not Giving Up

I could feel my temper rising and my nerves flaring up as a bitter little voice in my head screamed, "No school on Tuesday! Again! Really?  I mean come on! That is one of my only two actual work days and I have to keep giving them up?!"  I wanted to scream out loud.  Instead I whispered, "Son of a bitch!" as I glared at The Fifth Element and Comedian's school calendars. I had already forgotten my phone at home that morning due to starting the day with some serious early risers cutting into my fleeting and precious work time. I was frazzled, out of sorts and generally a bit screechy. We left the house in a rush and I cursed to myself on the car ride to school for losing the half hour between drop-off times for both girls where I return emails from my phone.  I try very hard to segment my … [Read more...]
