My Wish For You in 2019

A lot of us are tired. The holiday season is filled with late nights and New Year's Eve is no exception. New Year's Day is always a strange one to me. January is strange if I'm being honest. We wake up to not just a new day but a new month and a whole new year. I always find that a bit more than my tired brain and body wants to handle. I don't want to feel pressure to be awesome and so amazing all at once, but isn't that what so many of us feel? That we need incredible goals and plans and for them to start RIGHT NOW? Quite frankly it is unrealistic. It sets us up for failure. Instead, think of this new month as a pause, if you need to. View today, this week, as a time to reflect without the pressure of resolutions and do the things you need to start the year with intention. … [Read more...]

Cold Weather Skin Remedies with Masque Bar Masks

Source: Victoria Mason Now that January has come and gone we realize oh wait, there is still more winter.  That means dry skin and the need for cold weather skin remedies with Masque Bar Masks. I'm a little obsessed with sheet masks, I'll admit it.  It's cool.  It's not like I have a problem or anything.  I only hoard them like most parent horde Halloween candy.  So I was super excited when Look Beauty sent me two packs, with three masks per pack of their Lemon Sheet Mask and their Honey Sheet Mask. Each one goes on your clean skin for 20-30 minutes and then is easily peeled off revealing their individual results. Both the lemon and the honey are great for dull or dry winter skin.  Though I believe if you have sensitive skin the lemon sheet mask might be a tad too strong. The scent … [Read more...]

So I put together a handy list of what I stock my car with each winter and some additional items just to stay safe. I polled TMC readers asking them what items they keep in their cars and trucks in the cold winter months.  Here are the most popular and important.  Unless you live in Alaska, then you might want to add a sleeping bag and jumper cables to the mix.   It's smart to keep many of these items in your car or truck all year round and not just during the winter. Stay safe … [Read more...]
