Shopbop Sale Top Picks

I love a good sale.  Who doesn't?  Especially when the spring season is about to kick off. It may still be cold and cloudy outside but my brain and closet are gearing up for warmer weather. The Shopbop Sale (details below!) is going strong right now and here are a few of my top picks to kick off the spring season.   Rebecca Minkoff Pressed Flowers Diamond Scarf. This scarf hits up that dark floral trend for spring while also nailing the use of scarves this time of year.  Consider tying it around your wrist instead of a bracelet or wrapping it around your structured bags handle too.   Robert Rodgriguez Halter Jumpsuit is a great transition piece from spring to summer.  Wear it with mules, dress it up with strappy sandals, throw on a blazer or wear it alone.  I love … [Read more...]

Whatcha Wearing Wednesday: Stripes and Leopard for Spring

Stripes and leopard. It's all about mixing prints and patterns and it isn't as hard as you think. Spring is a great time to experiment. Think about matching a floral pencil skirt with a stripe shirt. Still not sure? Here's an easier way. Start with neutral colors like black, white and navy if you are feeling skittish and work from there. I took my neutral leopard heels and paired them with my tried and true black ankle pants and a new striped shirt I picked up from J.Crew Factory. The stripe shirt gets and update with the ruffle added to the sleeve. Ruffles are really big this spring. Wearing a navy blue multi-strand necklace adds a hint of color while also staying in the neutral zone. I felt like this look was both fresh and classic.  It's updated with the ruffles and has an … [Read more...]

Blue Stripes & White Denim

*Disclosure: Compensation is received through affiliate links.  All opinions are 100% my own. The rare sunny days we have had lately have made me yearn even more for light colors like blue stripes & white denim. Cooler temps prevail making long sleeves and denim are still needed daily. I love pairing it with my latest trench too. Excuse the lighting on the photo.  The rain has cast a crazy gloom over anything that no lighting can fix.
