Mother’s Day Gifts for Under $100

It's almost Mother's Day! How did May arrive so quickly this year? Is it just me or does it seem super fast? Do you have your Mother's day gift picked out? I know for me, I like to spend the day with a few girlfriends and out of my house. A good cup of coffee, breakfast of my choosing and maybe a run starts my day. Then I head out to brunch and dinner with a movie often thrown in make up my perfect day. A Bloody Mary or Margarita make it even better. When it comes to gifts I don't typically receive them but I find monograms are always high on my list. I love the personal quality to them and Things Remembered gets it right. Mother's Day Gifts Under $100   That's Not All I added a few other items to my latest Maven board for Mom or even a gift for you or a friend.  So … [Read more...]

Support Giving Tuesday with Carter’s

Did you know that Tuesday, November 29 is Giving Tuesday?  It's our chance to give back and Carter's wants to help! My kids cannot get enough of Carter's super comfy and stylish pj's and outfits.  I'm so glad they extended sizes so I can keep the girls in their clothes for a little while longer.  With one kid with Sensory Processing Disorder and the other two really picky about textures it is one place I can shop and not worry about fit, comfort and itchiness. BACK TO GIVING TUESDAY with CARTER'S It works like this. For every Carter’s pajama purchased online at Carter' or at one of Carter's 650+ retail stores on November 29, Carter's will donate one of America's favorite pajamas to children in need. It works with the Pajama Program, which provides new pajamas and new books … [Read more...]

Diesel Loves His Nutrish Zero Grain

The other night H and I were talking about our family and I told him that one of the best things to happen to us in this last year was getting our rescue dog, Diesel.  Our personalities are so similar to each other and I adore that he likes to sleep at the foot of my side of the bed, run with me, and protect me during a tickle fight attack brought on by H and the girls. He also groans every time H tells a corny joke and that is just pure gold right there. This dog has stolen my heart and it brings me so much joy to make him happy.  While I've already tucked away a few gifts for him for Christmas and we give him his thyroid medication daily we also feed him food that we found he cannot get enough of and devours in seconds.  Nutrish Zero Grain dog food (especially the Zero Grain Beef … [Read more...]

Feeling Fall Trends

Are you ready? Are you ready to transition into the fall season? I think I might be on the verge and here's why. Between the "shopping diet" I put myself on, the continuous reading of fashion magazines by the pool the last few weeks and the discovery of a new cash back site, Splender; I'm feeling these fall trends.     Fall Fashion Trends by victoriamason featuring a black cashmere hat   And since that so-called shopping ban was over I was now free to shop and explore my favorite fall fashion trends, and I did that while using the new cash back site, Splender, which was easy to sign up for, had all my favorite stores and a decent percentage of cash back on my purchases. Check out my finds!   This fall there is a ton of texture coming at … [Read more...]

#SpringItOn with MinuteClinic

The rains came. For many when rain comes it is a welcome relief from the pollen and symptoms from allergies. For me, it is the total opposite. While I feel a minor itchiness or red, scratchy eyes on sunny days my real irritation is when the rain pours down and everything is being washed away. I totally thought that was the case this week when we had rainy day after rainy day. Turns out it was not allergies but a cold. Absolutely no fun. Except the first day I couldn't tell the difference. I loaded myself up on my "Allergy Arsenal" and was frustrated when I felt worse as the day dragged on. So how can you tell the difference between an allergy and a cold? I've teamed up with MinuteClinic to break it down for you as well as offer pointers on dealing with those pesky spring … [Read more...]

The Flu is Never in Fashion

Yesterday I took this sweet little girl to her four-year check-up.  Yes, indeed time is flying by at a rapid pace.  She spent the morning practicing writing her name and chose just the right glittery shirt and matching leggings before her doctor visit. I marveled at how fast she is growing up, especially when she took all her shots, including her flu mist vaccination, without so much as batting an eye.  A simple breathe in through the nose, breathe out through the mouth and she was set. One family member down, four more to go! … [Read more...]

Charcoal Boucle

It was totally gray and drizzling day when I woke up yesterday morning. With thoughts of the new style grunge playing out before my eyes on the pages of fashion magazines and blogs I decided to put this look together.  Wet grass?  My moto boots can handle them!  Bit of a chill and touch of wind? My plush pullover seals in the warmth! This sweater made of boucle´from Pure Jill that I picked up just the other day is going to be on my hit list this upcoming fall and winter. It's lightweight but provides a whole lot of warmth with a super soft feel. It's relaxed and can be dressed up or down, which is perfect for my life right now.  It's a touch of the gray-scale but I think that's just fine.   I can style it up with skinny jeans or leggings or add a full midi skirt and belt … [Read more...]
