Just Add Fireworks

When it comes to make-up over the holidays I always tend to be a bit understated. My toes are painted a glossy OPI red this year and I'm sure my nails will be in a white hue. Navy fingertips are too hard to keep fresh for a few days when you are busy having fun. I might throw in a navy eyeliner though or a red gloss to play up the day even more. Then I'm done and all we need to do is just add fireworks. Pick one or all of these super cute shades to add a little sparkle to your look.   All Made Up for the Fourth by victoriamason featuring a red lipstick SHOP THE LOOK Lipstick Queen in Medieval/Essence EU Cosmetics Nauti Girl Palette/Essence EU Cosmetics Nauti Girl Eyeliner/Lauren B. Summer Travel Essentials

School's out! It's Summertime! Summer travel has officially begun and with the July 4th weekend right around the corner it is time to start thinking about packing. Whether you are traveling by train, plane or automobile (I'll be cruising down the highway with a 100lb. Doberman as one of my traveling companions. I think that is a separate blog post in itself.) you are going to need to pack and probably do it lightly.  When I have to take a bag for make-up and a bag for toiletries I get cranky. I love my stuff but I don't like hauling it. Neither do the airlines. Instead I've found a few tried and true products that make packing fast and easy while still being able to look good while I travel.   TSA Travel Goodies by victoriamason featuring Josie Maran Burt's Bees … [Read more...]

5 Summer Make-Up Must Have’s

This past weekend was Memorial Day, the unofficial start of the summer season.  The temperatures are rising, the pool is open and pretty soon we will all be feeling the heat 24/7.  That means taking a break from the heavier make-up. Think sunless tanner, soft peach blush, illuminators and a waterproof mascara. For me, I think less is more in the summer months. I’m too busy having fun, living a more laid back lifestyle to really care what my make-up looks like.  I tend to stick to the basics. … [Read more...]

Manna Kadar

Disclosure:  TMC was not paid for this post. Products are received for reviews only. Opinions are TMC's only.  Between Christmas and New Year's Eve more make-up arrives at my front door for review than anything else. Next, comes skin care, which we all just need for the frigid winter months, right? Right. This week I'm talking about Manna Kadar Cosmetics, which likes to keep beauty simplified. Created by celebrity make-up artist Manna Kadar she likes to bring fun, function and lots of femininity to her products. Let's take a look! … [Read more...]

Beauty Love- Lumene CC Cream & Violent Eyes

I have a deep love for Friday's in October. I can't quite pinpoint the reason but unlike any other time of the year Friday afternoons in October just feel loaded with anticipation. Maybe it goes back to the start of a new school year, high school dances and the feeling of endless possibilities of what the school year could hold. The slight chill in the air, the crisp coldness as the leaves crunch beneath your feet and you take a big breath in of the fall air. It's heaven. Friday beauty love feels almost as good. … [Read more...]

Beauty Love of the Week: Pacifica Coconut Kiss Lip Butter & blowpro Texture Spray

Two products are up this week. It isn't often that I find two items that I like to use on first test. Many times things get repurposed or serve as a back up to my preferred products but this week blow pro dry texture spray and Pacifica Coconut Kiss Lip Butter ended up front and center on my bathroom counter. They are still there a few weeks later being used daily. After all that do I need to go on? Yes! Let's get to the details then. … [Read more...]

The Wantable Box

I'm sort of in love with that Wantable box logo. Just a little bit. So simple. So chic. So I NEED THIS! But do you really? Is it just like the other monthly box subscription services? I had to find out and gladly accepted a Wantable box for perusal. Clearly, I opted for the make-up version of a Wantable. Accessories and Intimates are available too. First things first, I went onto the Wantable site and created a profile that encompassed all my likes, dislikes and loves. Do I adore red lipstick? Yes! Do I need more eyeliner in black? No. You can pick color preferences, if you like more creams than metallic or liners versus mascara and there is even a section for how much you like pinks, reds, any color you can think of that pertains to make-up. It took about fifteen minutes total. … [Read more...]
