Whatcha Wearing Wednesday: Stripes and Leopard for Spring

Stripes and leopard. It's all about mixing prints and patterns and it isn't as hard as you think. Spring is a great time to experiment. Think about matching a floral pencil skirt with a stripe shirt. Still not sure? Here's an easier way. Start with neutral colors like black, white and navy if you are feeling skittish and work from there. I took my neutral leopard heels and paired them with my tried and true black ankle pants and a new striped shirt I picked up from J.Crew Factory. The stripe shirt gets and update with the ruffle added to the sleeve. Ruffles are really big this spring. Are You Mad for Holiday Plaid?

I am placing full responsibility on this red ruffled shirt for single-handedly getting me into the Christmas spirit. It also made me mad for holiday plaid. Now I just want ALL THE PLAID. Spearmint & White

I think I might have a bit of a J.Crew problem.  This spearmint and white look is just a small glimpse into the collection of chino shorts I've amassed in the last few years (at least 8 pairs and counting). When the Trunk Club stylist asked me to share a store that showed my style I immediately said "J.Crew!" While I love the regular store the Factory store is right by my house, so is the newer Mercantile version, and so I tend to pop in to the Factory for a quick "5 minutes, I swear!" and walk out realizing they know me now.  It's effortlessly chic, comfortable and very me.  No apologies. Easy Sunday style. The perfect look for Brunch.   J.Crew Factory Gingham Classic Button-Down Shirt in Boy Fit 'Vivid Spearmint'/J.Crew Factory 5" Chino Short/J.Crew Factory Stone Drops … [Read more...]
