Shaping Up

I've been off the fitness rails the last few weeks for a wide array of reasons.  Now that we have settled back into a new fall routine I needed shaping up. A new look from Fabletics was definitely in order. So was testing out Honest Tea Sport for post-workout hydration and re-fueling. A photo posted by Victoria Mason (@veamason) on Sep 14, 2016 at 7:33am PDT The new dark green Salar Capri pants from Fabletics made my day and workout.  I didn't want to to take them off.  The are pure compression and make me feel and look well, fabulous. I love this simple black yoga tank from Fabletics.  The back adds some style while the fit is total comfort. New yoga mat (thanks Honest Tea!), new organic Honest Tea Sport (lemon) to hydrate and my Havianas make outdoor yoga sessions … [Read more...]

#MayMotivation

It's the little things that really matter, am I right? That's why an early morning conversation with my husband resonated so much with me last week. We're busy.  All the time right now with creating our business.  Some days we can't squeeze in a full 30 minute workout or hour at the gym.  So what about if we only do 10 as the minimum each day?  I'm talking about #MayMotivation. Follow me on YouTube It's taking 10 minutes out of your day to get moving.  I actually schedule it in each day whether it is ten minutes or more.  It is the simple act of making fitness a priority and habit in your  daily life. Even if I can only do a few minutes of yoga or HIIT it has happened, was on my mind and keeps my outlook positive for the rest of the day.  The benefits are numerous from better sleep, … [Read more...]

Runner Style

Guys, this weekend was it. It was all about runner style and having fun.  After months of training, I did it.  My first ten mile race!  I have done half-marathons before but for some reason I felt that this one was bigger. The George Washington Parkway Classic was one I have wanted to run for years and it was everything I wanted it to be and more. I was nervous about this race. I haven't run that far in a few years.  Training in the winter can be rough and that was a majority of my time on the pavement.  When I hit four miles in training I hit a wall.  My body was too tired from every day life.  I started taking Thrive supplements (which I was totally not a believer of) and immediately noticed a difference in my abilities while running, during recovery and afterwards.  I don't think I … [Read more...]

Only the Essential

It's been a while since I have posted anything regarding "my fitness".  I spent the last two weeks of summer barely making a dent in my workout wear.  Now that school is back in session and a routine is being established the sweaty laundry is piling up. I'm so excited to show off some of my new items from SQN Sport. What's SQN stand for?  It's Latin for "only the essential". That's what SQN Sport is all about too.  Using the economy of style for sportswear.  And they do it well. … [Read more...]

Finding Your Fitness Motivation

I freely admit that every once in a while I fall off the workout bandwagon. My fitness motivation just gets deleted. I don't actually stop working out I just end up shortening the duration of my work outs.  A combination of factors creates these mini-workouts.  Our daily schedule gets crowded, I lost track of time in the morning and by afternoon our schedule doesn't allow me a moment alone much less time to sweat.  Getting to the gym?  The travel time kills my motivation before I even grab my gym bag.  Three weeks will go by and suddenly I'm eating in a not so healthy way, the workouts get even shorter and then I can't even do the ones I did just a month before without getting totally winded and spent for the day. Let's face it. I'm not 22 or even 32.  The body changes rapidly but doesn't … [Read more...]
