Fall Favorites 2021

Fall is officially here!  Unlike last year where I had zero desire to shop for fall looks or even care about the trends that might be happening, Fall 2021 is pure fun. I'm excited to dive back into my closet, dust off my booties, and start wearing clothes that go beyond athleisure once again. Bring on the collar necklace to wear under the perfect white button-down shirt or sweater dress. Sling that new crossbody or bucket bag over your shoulder and head out into the crisp fall weather. Here are some of my favorites pieces that I bought but probably never wore (thanks, worldwide pandemic) and some new ones. Heels That Crafted History

Image Source Fashion does not make exceptions for shoes – after all, it’s a $40 billion industry. With every season, we get to see a new breed of all kinds of heels - thin stilettos, satin pumps, black-heel mules, and towering high heels. But as far as the history of high heels is concerned, it takes you back all the way to the 15th century. During those days, heels were not only something associated with only women fashion. There are history pages that talk about Persian men who wore heels, especially while horse riding. As the decades continued, heels were worn and loved by both the genders equally. While high heels have evolved a great deal since the 15th … [Read more...]

Velvet Crush

I'm back and I have a velvet crush.  It's been awhile, hasn't it?  I swear the end of summer was like some sort of sprint with lots of travel and trying to get over the Lyme disease hump. Labor day has come and gone and I am officially ready for fall.  Cooler temps, morning runs and getting into a routine.  I've tossed so much from my closet and I'm making room for some gorgeous pieces including a few velvet items which are trending big time for fall and winter.   Velvet Crush by victoriamason featuring grey accent pillows Knotted Velvet Srunchie/Velvet Skater Dress (similar)/Kensie Jeans Velvet Bomber/Asymmetrical Velvet Dress/Velvet Pillow (similar)/Topshop Velvet Hoodie (similar)/Quilted Velvet Pillow/Esprit Velvet Scalloped Odette Ballet Flats/Madden Beez Flat/Urban … [Read more...]

Fall for Pink and Yellow

Pretty in pink and yellow. Pink and yellow for fall?  Oh, indeed.   Every new season comes with a different set of color combinations. Rust and pale blue are hot right now. Fall 2016 has plenty of them to be sure, but the stand out to me this year is pink and yellow.  I'm in love with this combining of a soft, plush pink tone with a saturated yellow that brings to mind number 2 pencils.  Adding dashes of black and brown hues really makes the look stand out. What's your favorite color combo for fall?  Using this wooden flat bead necklace in black and animal print flats adds an almost tribal flair to an otherwise prim look. The Oversized Poncho

One of the best things I have purchased this fall is an open front, oversized poncho from Old Navy.  I saw it one day while walking by the store and I knew I just had to have it.  It looked cozy, lightweight but warm and really versatile. I throw it on to take my girls to the bus stop in the morning, while out running around town or when I'm headed out for a date night. I add a belt to cinch the waist when I know I'm going to be wearing it for long periods of time or I just let it hang loose. Either way, it's a poncho, a big trend this fall, and I'm in love. Fall 2015 Colors

Nope, you are not mistaken. I have fall on the brain. It starts next week after all. One of the things I absolutely love about this year's popular fall 2015 colors is that so much of it just comes naturally to the season. Olive greens mixed with mustard yellow and burgundy compliment each other as well as mimicking the colors we see outside.   Fall 2015 Colors by victoriamason featuring 7 For All Mankind Not only do the colors have longevity (we've seen them for a while now) they work well together. You can mix and match them and really work your closet. Add some navy or charcoal gray to that mustard shade and don't forget that the light pink that is so popular and unexpected this fall can make an excellent accent for accessories too. If pink isn't your color then burgundy … [Read more...]

Fall Trend: The Silk Scarf

Back in the day I was all about the scarves.  Tied around my neck, worn as a belt or hanging off a purse strap or even belt loop.  I loved all shapes, sizes and colors. I spent a lot of money at Echo in high school. If I traveled somewhere I was probably going to bring back a scarf to remember my trip.  While infinity scarves have hogged the limelight the last few seasons a new scarf style has demanded we take another look at it and it isn't the long and skinny 70's style scarf either.  The silk scarf. That sweet little square, my absolute favorite of all the scarves, is back! Feeling Fall Trends

Are you ready? Are you ready to transition into the fall season? I think I might be on the verge and here's why. Between the "shopping diet" I put myself on, the continuous reading of fashion magazines by the pool the last few weeks and the discovery of a new cash back site, Splender; I'm feeling these fall trends.     Fall Fashion Trends by victoriamason featuring a black cashmere hat   And since that so-called shopping ban was over I was now free to shop and explore my favorite fall fashion trends, and I did that while using the new cash back site, Splender, which was easy to sign up for, had all my favorite stores and a decent percentage of cash back on my purchases. Check out my finds! You should also try to get the feel of polyester to determine if this … [Read more...]
