So tired I forgot to take off my lashes! This week has been a blur. There was the snoringly awful Oscars that I stayed up entirely too late for and a late night with a friend and a few missed workouts because I was too tired to move. By Thursday I was useless and feeling queasy. This seems to be a pattern I'm developing where I go and go and then despite my best efforts I crash. I'm going for a physical next Monday and hopefully we can figure out what I can do with all this extra estrogen that is making me weepy, acne-prone and generally a malcontent 15 year-old who feels like crying one minute and blowing up the world the next. I've returned from visiting my Dad this weekend as he finally got discharged from the hospital. We don't know what is wrong technically, but we do know that it isn't life threatening. Yeah! Thank you to everyone who sent good wishes, prayers, hugs, tweets, and FB messages to me over the last few days. They were a great comfort to all of us. Where’s Mummy?
My mind is all about my upcoming trip to Kentucky for work this week and taking TD to the doctor to see what we can do about the tantrums. So far we've developed pie charts. Don't laugh. It's true. We sat her down on Sunday and drew diagrams of how her tantrums effect the house and don't give her what she wants. The pie charts showed her the time she has in the day and the activities she has as well as how it works for us, her parents. It seemed to sink in better than us just yammering away at her. We'll see. I'm crossing every finger and toe right now and saying a bunch of huge prayers that we have jumped over this giant hurdle.Other than all that- whew!- I'm busy with another giveaway at MPR. Where’s Mummy?
While you all have been enjoying first snows, holiday extravaganza's and foods I've been puking them up with a bout of food poisoning. I said I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy but I think I actually might, just for a much longer duration. I'm sure H is quite done with emptying puke receptacles and applying cold compresses to my neck as I yell, "H! MAKE IT END!" over and over again. One good thing as Lattes and Life pointed out, I'm down a few more baby weight pounds. Now that is a happy holiday gift to me! A few more weeks of shredding and I should be pre-Fifth Element weight.
