Scenes from Mom 2.0 Summit

Mom 2.0 14

I'm back from Atlanta and the wonder that is the Mom 2.0 Summit 2014! So much love. So much fun.   It was a whirlwind.  When is a conference not a giant swirl of lights, colors, noise, good talks and fun events?  When you plant a few hundred of the most talented women bloggers, some of the biggest in the industry, in one location (in our case it was the Ritz Carlton, Buckhead property in Atlanta) you know you are in good company, fine brands and massive brain power. Soak it up like a sponge. Go forth and prosper. Geek out as needed.  For me, that can be a lot. Also, bring a sweater and pack snacks. Know that what you are experiencing is the culmination of many hours of long, hard work done by some truly dedicated ladies who believe in the power of our voices and … [Read more...]

Spring Trends, Packing & Mom 2.0 Summit

Months ago I mentioned that things were brewing for me and I was excited about what 2014 would bring. I'm pleased to announce that for the past month I've been blogging for my favorite blogging conference, the Mom 2.0 Summit. By far one of the best conferences I have ever attended in my blogging career, Mom 2.0 is in Atlanta this year and with it comes a fabulous Garden Party at the Estate and sponsored by Dove. While not a fashion blogging conference like LuckyFABB, Mom 2.0 attendees bring it when it comes to dressing each day. I'm so honored, pleased and just plain old excited to be writing for this fantastic event that begins this Thursday!! Here's a little bit of what I've been doing! … [Read more...]

Watcha Wearing Wednesday- Mom 2.0

I wore a lot of carefully planned and executed looks in the last few days. I was in Laguna Niguel, CA for the Mom 2.0 Summit "being my brand"  to the best of my ability. That brand being me, my blog and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle that includes a love of fashion, accessories and all things beauty related.  I plan on putting a few of the looks up over the next few weeks. Onward with day 1 where I sort of felt like Wonder Woman in my outfit, in more ways than one.  … [Read more...]

What I’m Wearing- White Party/White Sands – Mom 2.0 Summit

This isn't my dress exactly but it is very similar to what I will be wearing to the first party at Mom 2.0 in a few days. It's simple, versatile (all the accessories can go with other outfits) and works for the event.  I can't wait to be strolling in the white sands and sipping a cocktail by the sea. … [Read more...]

Whatcha Wearing Wednesday- #morein2014

Welcome to another week of Whatcha Wearing Wednesday! I'm so glad you could join us!! The snow is swirling around in a fast, white mess right now and in just a few hours it will be a winter wonderland. It's January. It's fine. Check back with me in a few days when I'm sick of looking at the ice-capped, slush-fest aftermath. I'm sure it will be a different story. This week it is all about more! More in 2014 (#morein2014)! I'm working on a little project about what I want to do, see and find more of in 2014. Inspired by the Mom 2.0 Summit folks and their instagram #morein2014 project, I've been taking daily shots of what I'm wearing.  I want to turn this into my chance to showcase the fashion scene at Mom 2.0 in Atlanta this May. If you haven't heard of the Mom 2.0 Summit (don't let … [Read more...]

Watcha Wearing Wednesday- Red & Black

It's that time again!  Time to show off the best of what we have worn in the past week.  For me, it was a lot of black and red combinations due to traveling.  I think the colors pop, look sophisticated and fun and all of it traveled well.  Let's take a look, shall we?  Don't forget to show us what you rocked this week by linking up too! … [Read more...]

Whatcha Wearing Wednesday

This week is nuts. Like ham sandwich on pumpernickle and rye, balls to the wall insanity.  Between trying to find a new sitter, get work done before Mom 2.0 next week and regular old life and good ol' Aunt Flo messing with my mood I am all over the place. I swear I almost stroked out the other day while trying to cook dinner, sign the kids up for camp and potty train The Fifth Element. So let's just call this the 'my crotch feels like it is falling out and if I have to wear yoga pants I will bash someone's face in' outfit, shall we?  I told you I'm feeling jolly.  … [Read more...]

Sabotage and Some Damn Good Times

When Sarah told me that Adam Yauch (MCA) from the Beastie Boys had passed away we were at Mom 2.0 finishing up lunch.  "Well, this just sucks." I thought eloquently.  Then I went to my room and got mad at the hotel internet connection as I tried to watch 'Sabotage' on YouTube.  That video used to make my f*ckin' day when it first debuted. … [Read more...]

Three Girls, Two Cities, One Day

Ellen Burstyn lived as a homeless person for a few days to step out of her comfort zone. I don't need to go quite that far just yet. For me, stepping out of my own comfort zone only requires me taking the girls into two cities, aboard two trains, on three cab rides and onto the steamy streets of New York. All in just twelve hours. Even though I stay home with my kids I don't really think of myself as a hands-on mother. I still work, travel and am independent from them. It is a system that works well for us most of the time. TD was a year old before I had ever taken her to the grocery store on my own. Taking a three year-old and a nine month old on a day excursion to one of the world's largest cities is not something I find within my means of momfidence. It is more of an adventure. … [Read more...]
