Daytripping at National Harbor

Sometimes you just need to get away, even if it is just for a day. My day to day life of working on the blog, with H and our real estate business, taking care of three kids and all that those kiddos entails is no easy feat. Throw in the fact that sometimes I need to sleep, eat and maybe get a little exercise in so I can handle all those above mentioned things and I can be one burned out woman. Spring Staycation

It's not often that I get a little spring staycation of my own. That's exactly what happened when the girls went to my parents house for a few days over spring break. Can you say hours of reading, no work, napping and eating all the tasty foods I love? So needed! It kicked off nicely with María José from Very Busy Mama and I spending the day at National Harbor to take in the sights (Oh, the waterview!), eat a fabulous lunch and have a bit of spa and me time at the Gaylord National's Relache Spa. Scenes From A Weekend- Breaking the Mold

Sometimes you need to move out of your comfort zone. For H that means breaking the mold and love of home parties for the kids. For me and The Fifth Element it means going to a place like Chuck E. Cheese where we have to interact with lots of people, deal with various types of spaces, colors, loud sounds and music and a whole mash-up of multiple whirling activities all at once for hours on end.
