Back to School for Moms Means Wardrobe Refresh

We go back to school next week.  I’m wavering between ecstatic joy that the endless sibling arguing will be over and then feeling sad that our carefree summer is coming to a close.

Who Doesn’t Love Fall & Back to School Time?

Back to school shopping is when my early bird personality has us finishing up our back to school supply and clothes shopping in early August. Honestly, I do most of it online to avoid in aisle fighting, crowds, lines, all of it. Ask me how I buy clothes for my tween? I let her fill up store carts online and then we go through the carts together with our budget in mind and make choices together. It’s way less stress in the store, issues in the dressing room and it actually makes it fun for her and me to work together.  I started doing it with the younger two this year as well and the excitement over the packages arriving and the flurry of trying everything on in our home was fun for all of us. I’ll never go back to the mall again.

Back to back to school for moms. After I was done with the girls shopping I found myself wading through my own closet tossing and selling items that no longer serve me. It made me think, ‘Why do kids only get back to school items? Don’t Moms need a wardrobe refresh too?’ Of course, we do!

A wardrobe refresh is a bit of self-care if you ask me

Except, I’m not working right now in the way I was last fall so my needs are a bit different and that means I really do need a wardrobe refresh.  Eliminating sugar, gluten, dairy, alcohol and being on a candida diet has made me lose a dress size and now that I’m feeling better more often than not I am gaining muscle tone again.  A lot of my clothes, some brand new, just don’t fit any longer.  I need some basics and a few fun fall items.
