Celebrate the Little Things

The Fourth of July is almost here and it is time to celebrate the little things! Like cute striped dresses from my most recent Trunk Club box or the fact that I think the fog of illness I’ve been dealing with most of this month has finally lifted.  That right there, is REALLY a reason to celebrate.

This cocktail dress was so spot on that I squealed the minute I opened the giant Trunk Club box and laid eyes on it.

Not going to lie but this month has been hell.  I’m looking trimmer than before but that is what extreme pain and meds that take away your appetite will do.  I would not wish the “lyme disease/pain diet” on anyone.  This illness, which we think we caught early enough, if all caps FUNKY.  It makes you depressed and irritable because the pain is so strong and the fatigue never-ending.  I feel like my last fashion post showed, that even on what felt like a good day, I was not my usual self.  I believe I am getting better daily.  That I am conquering this nasty infection.  I have to for peace of mind and body for me and my whole family.

Love that dress- looks so flattering on you. Hang in there…Lyme is nasty but the antibiotics should help tremendously!! So sorry you’ve been sick all month.

Lyme is nasty! This dress is not. 🙂 Thank you for stopping by and sweet words. The dress is super comfortable too!

Thank you so much! The last few weeks have been stressful and scary. Not knowing why your body won’t work and just keeps getting sicker was awful.

I am so sorry to hear about your Lyme disease. I have had friends who have battled that, but they are pretty much symptom free today. I hope you feel better everyday. I’m impressed that you have the energy to post. Loving your Halogen dress! Thank you for hosting.

I am so sad to hear this diagnosis. I have a client of mine who I regularly style not leave her house for close to 9 months. It was a really tough journey for her…the constant fatigue etc. SHe is getting back to herself and I am elated to say I styled her for a ton of functions this Spring…it was so great to see her up to getting out and about again. Hers was misdiagnosed for some time…so I am crossing fingers and toes that because you got it early you will be feeling better soon and liek yourself. Thoughts, prayers and good vibes all your way. PS- teh dress is adorable on you! C

Carly, Thank you so much for those kind words. I really appreciate it! I saw the bullseye rash while shaving and then checked the lymedisease.org website for symptoms. BINGO or should I say, bullseye! Ugh. I asked for a test from my very skeptical doctor and it was very positive. I’m so glad to hear your client is doing better! My life came to a standstill in the last few weeks because I could only do the very basic things each day. It was frustrating and depressing.

SO GLAD you’re feeling better!! I have a couple of friends that have been diagnosed with Lyme as well and they say it is just miserable :-((((((. You do look amazing in the striped dress!! I know you’d take your appetite over the illness but the dress fits you like a glove 🙂
