Signature Style

Having a signature style, something that it totally you, is important.  It brings confidence when dressing and making decisions when styling anything from you to your home from the living room to your room that can have a big and organized wardrobe thanks to Mr Wardrobe services as well.  I’ve been told I’m hard to shop for and while I hate to believe that since I showcase so much of what I love right here on TMC, it might be true.  My signature style is classic chic with a bit of an edge thrown in some days.

I don’t have a favorite color but more of a preferred one.  It could change in a few years, it did with red, which had a long stretch in the 90’s and early 2000’s.  But I know myself and it is easy to say no to trends I know just aren’t me like a kimono (blush, florals, skater skirts) and yes to others that fit just right.
Looking at the pictures from our new home, I know that house is totally me.  It blends traditional style on the outside with light interior colors that mix with classic pieces and some of today’s trends.  It’s why I always choose a white kitchen and switch out accent colors and decor every few years. White kitchens are timeless, color trends are not.

I love that your fashion style is reflected in the way you decorate your home. I feel like mine is the same with an influence on the area I am living. We are about to move to a small apartment near the bay and have begun collecting cups and plates in blue hues as well as scouting out the best nautical themed accessories.

I’m the same way. I was so excited yesterday when a skirt I wanted came up on sale. I tried it on and it was just a touch too long. I put it back. I’ll keep searching no matter the price!

I couldn’t agree more. It took me a long time to come to that realization. I also learned a lot from watching What Not To Wear back in the day. 🙂 I often hear Clinton Kelly in my head, “You can do better…”

I didn’t know I had a signature style until people started saying they liked my classic style. It’s definitely good to have a style you can always fall back on but I also think we’re always evolving. Love all three looks that you shared. ~Cynthia

Cynthia, I completely agree with you! I know I can rely on this style but I love that blogging and seeing all of you fabulous bloggers and your looks that you create pushes me style-wise to try new things. It’s one of the most fun things about this community.
