Do Work

I don’t even know where to begin.  But sometime between losing the house, Halloween and now I fell off the workout/eat healthy wagon.
HARD.
I became complacent.  I would throw on my workout clothes and then, “meh…” shower.  Part of me wanted to remove fitness from my site and just continue to rifle through old trick or treat bags and yell with a full mouth, “Bring on the pie and Thanksgiving treats!  Where’s all my holiday baking?!”
Thankfully, I had some motivation come my way in the last two weeks.

The house is back!! Thank you, God!  And H and I decided we both needed to stop feeling sluggish and stuffing our pie-holes and embrace the fact that we actually like to work out together.  We started back on HIIT workouts with running in between for me on Thanksgiving day and have been going almost daily ever since.  I’m happier, sleeping better and wearing new kicks!
What’s more motivating than having a workout friend? New shoes, that’s what!
I’m loving the sock-like fit of my new ASICS Gel-Fit Sana training shoes.
These stylish shoes feature the Flexible Fit system with support bands that go from the heel to the forefoot.  My HIIT workouts feel supported but not weighed down by heavy cross-training shoes.  It’s awesome!  The shoes are made of mesh and a MONO-SOCK® upper construction to give the shoe that sock-like fit and look, which I think is sleek.  The Sana comes in four different colors like all pink, black, and grape. I’m wearing the Navy/White/Hot Pink version. The sole is padded for enough bounce during my workouts and I feel light on my feet during my jumps.  It’s as if I’m not wearing anything at all.  That is just what I like since truthfully, I hate wearing shoes!

Although it gets harder in the winter, working out is a must for me in the winter because otherwise I would be totally depressed. Glad to hear you’re back on track. Love those Asics shoes! ~Cynthia

Great workout gear, but first off you are no alone. I think this happens to most of us time and again, we just have to pick up ourselves and start over. Start a new day. Glad to hear you are back at it though and feeling good. 🙂 Thanks for the link up.

Woohoo for a renewed sense of motivation. I’ve had my down moments too and can totally relate to how good it feels to get back at it! So great that you and your hubby stay fit together, I wish I could convince my hubby to do so, it would make workouts that much more fun!
