Black on Black

I headed up to New York this week to visit a girlfriend from college. It was H’s birthday present to me back in May, but I was finally able to schedule it all and plan what might have been the most gorgeous New York fall weekend.

Saturday Morning in Central Park

I wanted things to be simple.  I wanted to feel comfortable, pack light but also be stylish while going throughout my day, which on the first day consisted of a quiet four-hour bus ride into the city.  I decided that my latest Stitch Fix jeans from edyson were just the thing.  I wore them home on Sunday as well with a Chambray shirt and the same leopard flats.

It was the perfect look for both travel and running around the city with my friend.  This look worked well for drinks and dinner too.  I paired my Coach Madison bag with it for it’s cross-body ability while traveling and a leopard tote to carry my extra snacks, tablet and magazines.  When I arrived I swapped out the cross-body strap and just used the handles.  It was perfect.  A gorgeous and fun weekend with an old friend.  What more can you ask for, really?
