The Audi A6 & More Pieces of Me

This week I’m so excited to have Carylee from More Pieces of Me guest posting over here about her new Audi A6! A gorgeous car to be sure and Carylee proves that fashion and cars are a match made in heaven.

Hey, everyone! I’m Carylee and I blog over at More Pieces of Me. I recently acquired this gorgeous 2014 Audi A6 Prestige Supercharge Quattro with the black optic package in Daytona Grey. I got excited to try it asap. I was so flattered and excited when Vicky asked me to do a guest post not only about my new car, but about an outfit inspired by the car! Wow! How fun!

Sunnies: Oakley | Perforated top: Trouve (over NY&Co tank) | Bottoms: Express | Peep toe booties: Via Spiga

I knew immediately that I had to wear this faux leather perforated top – my car interior is perforated leather as well. Everything else just fell into place. I wanted something that was sporty, but still feminine, hence the skinny jeans and the sassy booties. I purposely didn’t wear any accessories because I think the outfit stands out on its own – much like the car. The husband wants to make some tweaks here and there – black out all the chrome, add thicker tires. But I don’t think the car needs it – she’s beautiful with just the right amount of bling.

So, how did I end up with an Audi? Well, my previous car (which we still have) is a 2007 Saturn Vue. I love that car – I bought it brand new and it was my first car I paid off all on my own. But she’s getting old and we’ve been ready to get a new one. For context, the husband drives a 2012 ZL1 Camaro and is working on a 1973 Corvette restomod which needs an auto glass repair. Needless to say, he’s a car junkie. He’s also planning on installing some c8 corvette carbon fiber parts for his C8 Corvette. For the Audi, I’m planning to get my Audi Check Engine Light inspected as I’m having issues with it.

We test drove a Mercedes E Class first. I loved it and I was ready to buy it right after I test drove it! It was amazing, and as you can imagine, a step up (or twenty) from my Vue. The husband convinced me to keep doing our market research, so we went next door to check out BMW. We test drove a 5 series, and I wasn’t really a fan. It drove really rough, which I know is the point, but it wasn’t what I was looking for. It seemed more like a boy car to me, which explains why the husband realllllly loved it. Since this technically is “my” car, my decision weighs a little heavier.

We finally ended up at Audi and after telling the sales associate what we’d already checked out that day, he immediately took us to this exact car sitting on the show room floor. It was the perfect balance of everything I wanted (luxury) along with everything the husband was hoping for (sporty and modern). She’s perfect, and after just one short week of having her – I couldn’t be happier!

Thanks so much, Vicky, for having me!
