4th of July Style Inspiration

Looking for something beyond the red, white and blue that is so prevalent this week?   Sandy, from Fashnboucou, and my guest blogger today offers up a few looks that will really set you apart this holiday.

You can dress in patriotic spirit without being so literal. Ditch the cliché red, white and blue, and add some color and prints to your look this 4th of July.

4th of July Style Inspiration
Mix the trio of hues with flirty prints and textures, like florals and lace. Make red, white, and blue work together by throwing in a fourth hue and adding a vintage-y mix of prints. I paired a colorful and flirty midi skirt by Saloni with a feminine daisy lace cami. Mixing prints as I did with the skirt and GoJane quilted clutch keep your look unfussy and cool. The neutral accessories won’t distract from the bold color mix, but they will seamlessly complement it instead.

Cool 4th of July
Channel Americana-chic in this simple yet totally and literally cool ensemble. When you mix prints and colors, make sure to contrast a rounded pattern with sharp-edged designs, and keep it all consistent with one matching hue, like I did with white. A neutral blouse calms wild pants and gives them polish.
