I must admit that I love the circus. It was such a highlight to me as a kid. I can still remember going with my cousin to see our first Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey show at about age 8. We were in awe when they dimmed the lights and all our red and blue swirling flashlights came alive in one arena and the show really started. It felt like such a special night.
I’m really excited to share it with my girls again this year. Another year older but still enchanted with the spectacle that each year brings. This year should really amaze them too! After all, the theme is Built to Amaze!
Built to Amaze! performs at two arenas in the Washington, D.C. area – the Verizon Center in the District from March 20 – 23 and the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va. from April 9 – 20. Built to Amaze! will also perform at the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Md. from March 26 – April 6.
Andre McClain, Ringmaster and America’s favorite cowboy accompanied by his horse Comanche, takes the Ringling Bros.® reins and, leads his Built To Amaze! funny and mischievous super circus supervisors, to construct The Greatest Show On Earth. There will be more than 110 of the world’s best performers representing 17 countries along with 95 exotic and domestic animals will be assembled, creating never-before-seen heart pounding performances.
Plus the nine-time international award-winning comedic animal presenting duo Alex and Irina Emelin of Russia and the Tower Tumblers, a troupe of competitive aerial athletes from the Ukraine who launch themselves from trampolines to scale, repel and pass through a three-story high translucent tower. Ringling Bros. brings a spirited and fiery competition of basketball with the next generation of whirling unicyclists, the legendary King Charles Troupe hailing from New York City. We can’t wait!

I did love the circus as a child and would now like to take my own family!
I loved the circus as a kid. However, the one I REALLY wanted to go to everyone got snowed in and had to spend the night at the arena.
I was Queen of the Ringling Brothers & BB Circus when I was in 5th grade! 🙂 My twins are now in 5th grade & I would love to take them & their younger sis to the show! 🙂
