Jeans & White Shirt

Welcome to Whatcha Wearing Wednesday!

Spring is beginning to show its sweet face around here. At long last!  The days are growing longer and I can actually hear the birds chirping and see bulbs pushing through the ground around my yard.  Every time I see a little green shoot I get excited and yell to the closest person, “Hey! Look! Green!  SPRING!”

My neighbors largely ignore me and think I’m a freak.

Spring always makes me think of classics.  That’s where today’s look comes from, the always chic white shirt and jeans. Black heels are always an elegant touch.

Then reality sets in and it is much easier to go about my day with school drop-offs, pick-ups, and the after school activities rundown in cute leopard flats. The heels will happen again soon, I’m sure.

You know what you can’t see?  The GORGEOUS and Ely Wooden watch by JORD that I’m giving away this week!  ely-10-front-angled

I am flat out not a watch person.  I used to wear one daily and felt lost without it.  Then I read a book that changed how I view time.  I know.  I was 18.  After that I stopped thinking about it so much and realized I knew what time it was fairly accurately just by looking around me.  Then cell phones came along and helped out in a pinch.  Plus, I liked the idea I told myself about not having a watch left me free to not obsess about time.  Oh, the lies we tell ourselves.  Recently, I found myself looking longing at watches on other bloggers.  Fat faces, thick bands.  I was beginning to covet but not enough to really consider it.  I wanted something different.

The Ely in Maple, MINE!  It’s different, casual, a bit on the eco-side and light.  It’s classic without being typical.

Want your own Ely? It comes in darker wood too.  Just pick a color!  I will be giving one away to a lucky reader!  Maple Ely watch

Ha – you and your shoes is how I felt on Thursday when I intended to wear pretty little heels, but ended up going with flat black boots because of snow and ice. So dumb! Your outfit is lovely though regardless! nothing beats a great white top! Thanks for linking up! Carylee | morepiecesofme.com
