Converse Two Ways

Let’s face it. I run around a lot with my kids. I work in the wee hours of the morning and then for a few hours before they leave for school I’m in full Mom-mode. I work a few more hours and then it is back into that mode by mid-afternoon. As much as I love a life beyond flats and low-heeled shoes it just doesn’t happen all that often.

I love how Lindsey from The Pleated Poppy always shows off her white low-top converse kicks. I might have to finally pick up a pair for the summer which I’m determined will be more laid back fun than me asking for time to work as the kids do “busy” activities. The days of the girls being small and wanting to be around me and H are fleeting. I should soak them up with as much summer sun, long days and time by the water as much as I possibly can. So bring on the Converse low-tops!

I Covet for..

The mint Converse have been on my “BUY” list for quite some time but each year I wait to long and miss my size. The other day I walked into Marshalls/Home Goods and there right in front was a display of spring-colored Converse, including mint! I snatched up my size right quick. There was one left! I hesitated for a moment. I wasn’t here for me. I shouldn’t be so impulsive. Except they’ve been on my list for three years and they were HALF PRICE. Not so impulsive after all. I can’t wait to wear them to brighten neutral looks and add a pop of color to so many outfits.

What have you been looking for lately and hope to find? Or did you and finally buy it?

I rarely buy shoes. I’m not a clothes horse, but low top Converse All Stars are a fixed memory of my youth.

Mine too! I had many pairs, including a beloved orange set, that I wore to death in high school. I’ve been wearing a pair of black low’s for years and adore them.
