My Valentine’s Day Treats

I’m gearing up for Valentine’s Day by buying all the necessary cards, crafting tools, baking items and other assorted goodies and treats. It gets me so excited to start this planning and do these things for others. Sometimes I wish it was ALL I did.

Then, I decided to create a handy little cheat sheet (ahem) for me. Because why not? I’m so in love with pink this year, which is beyond bizarre since normally the color makes me cranky, so I’m just accepting it and moving on. This color obsession can’t last more than one season, right?!

My Lovely Valentine's

I’m a HUGE, foaming at the mouth, addict of a sweet tooth it makes some people queasy. I swoon over salted caramels all times of the year and macarons too. I don’t want a painting but the real, melt-in-your-mouth thing! Those darling little earrings of them are just too cute to say no too, oui? Movie tickets are always a winner in my book. It means darkness, silence and a giant bucket of buttered popcorn to devour along with the film on the screen. I could do it every day. Meanwhile, I hope to never leave my love for ballet flats. Those classic and comfortable shoes in aqua and pink just bring spring to mind and how desperately I need an infusion of bright colors to get through this #polarvortexofdeath style winter. The perfume I fell in love with as a sample and it makes me feel good each time I spritz it on. I feel like a certified lady and grown-up too. Last, but not least, is the charm bracelet. It’s a bit of woman’s Suffragist history in a classic form of jewelry. It’s part of what I got my degree in while in college and a true passion I never tire of learning. I did name one of my girls after a rather famous one, after all. I attended a lecture on it just last night and found myself excited to learn new things and hear directly from women who lived during the 1920s-1950s as working women. As they both said last night, “There is so much more we can do, ladies! Don’t stop here!”

So that’s it. My Valentine’s Wishes. What yould you love to be surprised with this V-Day? Or do you just hate it and want to burn down a Hallmark this time each year?

Great list! Valentines Day for me is more about getting all the kids boxes and cards done! And we bake for it. Hubby and I will have a date on President’s Day. Yay for dates! Coming by from #SITSBlogging!

Great post & I am sure all of your Valentine’s Day wishes will come true.
We normally exchange cards & my husband is grilling steaks. It beats the restaurants any day.
