I’m really exciting to be guest hosting Funday Monday this week! Let’s get started!
I headed into the city this weekend to meet my best friend, E. As she tells everyone, “We’ve been best friends since nursery school!” And it’s true. The weekend was full of amazing food, long conversations, late nights and just so much fun being around each other when normally a whole country stands between us. It was the tonic I needed during this cold, dry, and harsh winter.
As I left a movie theater Sunday, all alone on the quiet city streets, I relished in the feeling of being unattached. After a week of the kids having no school due to a mix of weather and holidays, I’ve been surrounded non-stop. To feel so completely solitary, silent and anonymous just being me was a nice balm on my frazzled nerves. I also rocked this faux fur snood that I got for Christmas from my parents all weekend and LOVED it!
