The Comedian Turns 5

In some ways it seems that it took forever to get here. As the middle child we worry that you would get lost in the shuffle. Accepting what your big sister TD passes down to you, what you learn by her example and what people think you will be like as her sibling. Already.

All that worry. It wasn’t needed. It all rolls off you like water off a ducks back.

Our little Blutarsky complete with snowmen tats.  Baby rolls hard in the winter months.

When we jokingly nicknamed you Blutarsky as a baby we had no idea how accurate we were in that moniker.

You live life with gusto.  In the last five years since we welcomed you into our family you have brought so many smiles, silly songs about ponies in haunted forests and baby ghost vampires that we lost count.  Your smile is contagious, your heart eight sizes bigger than anyone else in our home or know.  You share with ease and a friendly smile, call everyone your friend and cannot wait to explore every area around you.  Especially if worms, caterpillars, ants or frogs might be there.

Not afraid of dirt or to dispense a random extremely tight hug with what sounds like cat purrs coming from you, you are our sweet little ladybug.  You love hard, fight dirty and aren’t afraid to hold a whole ball full of cicadas in springtime.  Your sweet smile charms everyone around you even as you are telling someone that you could care less what they want you to do.  That will serve you well years from now.

The joy you bring to our family is what helps make it whole.  We thought you might get lost in the shuffle, be overpowered by your older sister and never utter a word.  We had no need to worry.  You always manage to hold your own.  We love your nightly shows put on in your best sing-song voice, blanket thrown around your head as you portray another realm of witch or tiny vampire looking for its next meal.

Happy 5th Birthday to The Comedian!  You bring so much love, comic relief and just pure joy into this family and we are forever changed in the best way because of it.

What a great post… she will read it when she is older and really understand how much she means to you. What a sweet, fun little girl you have.
