As much as we may not want it to life can be a little inconvenient.  Things we really want to do have to fall to the side and you say, “Maybe next year…” or as I said on Wednesday night to my oldest daughter, the only one old enough to read the family calendar, “You went last year.  There will be other chances to see Mickey and Minnie.”  So that was that.  We stayed home, the girls got sicker and I was relieved I listened to my gut and didn’t take them to the show or mention it beforehand.  I couldn’t deal with sick kids and Disney disappointment.

Luckily, reader Nate and his family won tickets from TMC and were able to attend the show. They loved every minute! He summed it up below.

Thanks to your awesome site, my family and I went to see Disney On Ice – Let’s Celebrate Wednesday night at the Patriot Center.  It was opening night and my boys Landon and Connor had the time of their life as both had never seen Mickey up close before…their excitement was priceless.  Disney on Ice was a wonderful show! When the lights went out to start the show all the light toys the kiddos had around the arena light up the Patriot Center!!!  It was a fun party. The show featured so many of our favorite Disney Characters in celebrations of holidays and festivals throughout the world that had the kiddos in the Patriot Center going wild!
Disney on Ice kicked off with all the Disney Characters skating on the Ice with the big reveal of Mickey at Center Ice.  The characters from Toy Story to Alice in Wonderland and all our favorite Disney classics set the mood for the Celebrations to come during the show.
Mickey got the show started by joining Donald, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto to help the crowd celebrate an un-birthday party with Alice in Wonderland & the Mad Hatter.  As Mickey was cleaning up from the party mess he found a sorcerer’s hat & robe which gave way to a great Fantasia dancing broom number.
That was followed by a Spooky Halloween hosted by Jack (Nightmare Before Christmas) and featuring some popular Disney Villains like Captain Hook, The Witch from Snow White, Cruella de Vil, Jafar (Aladdin) and Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty).

After the crowd was in a Halloween mood it was time to get the Princesses celebrating with a Royal Ball Valentine’s Day celebration with Minnie and the Fairy Godmother and many of the Disney Princesses. Finally, the show winded down with a Disney Christmas celebration with the toys of Toy Story and a spectacular Grand Finale with all the Disney Characters on the Ice with Snow falling over the Patriot Center.

If you get a chance to make a show at the Patriot Center – don’t miss it! It was an amazing show with so many of our beloved Disney characters – any Disney fan will absolutely love it!

Tickets are still available too!  Get yours for you and your whole family now until October 27th!
