The Wantable Box

I’m sort of in love with that Wantable box logo. Just a little bit. So simple. So chic. So I NEED THIS!

But do you really? Is it just like the other monthly box subscription services? I had to find out and gladly accepted a Wantable box for perusal.

Clearly, I opted for the make-up version of a Wantable. Accessories and Intimates are available too.

First things first, I went onto the Wantable site and created a profile that encompassed all my likes, dislikes and loves. Do I adore red lipstick? Yes! Do I need more eyeliner in black? No. You can pick color preferences, if you like more creams than metallic or liners versus mascara and there is even a section for how much you like pinks, reds, any color you can think of that pertains to make-up. It took about fifteen minutes total. For $36 a month (or one time purchase of $40, might be nice for the Halloween make-up box) a box arrives at your door. It took 2 days for mine. Nice, fast service! I couldn’t wait to see what was inside.

Overall, I’m quite pleased. They went to my core with the perfect shade of red Besame lipstick. A brand that I love and reviewed once on MPR. It is the most fabulous shade of red for this fall.  A bit darker and brooding while still maintaining that true red with blue undertones.    I loved how Wantables explores new, slightly less known companies like my sample of echo vie lip gloss.  It’s a green product and I’ve been putting it on my pout for weeks now for just a bit of moisturizing color.  The star of this box is the Michael Marcus nail polish in Can Can that is quite possibly one of the best nail polishes I have ever used.  That’s saying a lot since I have over 100 colors in my collection.  I can’t even describe how smooth it is, how the brush fits perfectly and that it is just a high gloss color that lasts while not being too thick or watery.  The consistency is a dream.  I love it.  I want more.  I bow to Wantable for assisting me in the discovery of this fine brand. Other fun items included are the Susan Posnick  Color EYEDEFINE liner in copper.  A color I would not have normally chosen but I like for late summer/early fall.  It goes on smooth and is really workable.  And a fun Simply Beautiful Custom Lip Gloss Pot that has shades of peach and pink blended with equal bits of silver and gold for a soft, glowing glossy effect.  It can even double in a pinch as a blush.

Wantable is a great way to find new brands and try new trends.  It’s fun, fast and customizable.
